The Perfect Setting For Summer

At EXPLO Ortho, you’ll not only get a feel for what it’s like to work out in the field of sports medicine, but you’ll also have everything Wellesley College has to offer at your finger tips.

Campus Map

Our campus map highlights the residential, academic, and recreational facilities available to students during the summer. The map also indicates the location of our on-campus informational meetings in the winter and spring.

Wellesley College Facilities
For more than 25 years, EXPLO has made its home on the breathtaking campus of Wellesley College in Wellesley, Massachusetts. Considered one of the top liberal arts colleges in the nation, Wellesley is located 14 miles west of Boston. The scenic 600-acre campus includes a large lake, a multi-million dollar sports complex, ponds, woodlands, an arboretum, and miles of foot paths — providing the perfect setting for the intellectual, social, and recreational growth of EXPLO.

All of our students and staff live on campus in private dormitories surrounding a common quad. With a beautiful lake, grand architecture, classroom spaces, and a recently renovated athletic complex at your fingertips, you will have exclusive access to an incredible setting for your summer experience.

EXPLO Ortho Resources
In addition to everything Wellesley has to offer, as part of EXPLO Ortho you’ll have access to critically acclaimed Boston training facilities where you’ll visit, tour and see training in action.

As part of your curriculum, you’ll try your hand at a computer-simulated surgery in the Dr. Dinesh Patel Arthroscopic Learning Lab at Massachusetts General Hospital, a teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School. You’ll visit the professional rehab center at Gillette Stadium, home of the New England Patriots and the New England Revolution, to see how the pros tackle sports medicine.

With all that excitement, let’s not forget that you’ll meet with guest sports medicine specialists and orthopedia surgeons for Harvard teaching hospitals in addition to learning the ins and outs of X-rays, MRIs, bone and CAT scans, ortho-glass splints and plaster casts, c-spine, traction, and splints.
