Your Days (+ Nights) at St. Mark's
EXPLO English is packed with activities and evening events that are sure to be fun.
After Class, What’s Up Next?
After a day of classes, clinics, and trips, the day isn't over! In the evenings, EXPLO English students can join in an activity period with 4 - 5 options for students to choose from. We offer athletic activities (like soccer and tennis) and artistic activities (like painting and pottery), as well as creative games and play that students love to try. After activities, students attend an evening Main Event. Past Main Events include Carnival Night, jugglers, theaterical performance, and off-campus movies.
Eat Like a Wizard
Walk into St. Mark's dining hall and you might think you've set foot in Hogwarts Castle from the Harry Potter series. With long wooden tables and paintings of old school headmasters, there's nothing quite like it. Students eat three meals a day at the dining hall, along with a snack in the afternoon. Salad and deli bars, several main entrées at each meal, and fresh fruit are just some of the options. There are always vegetarian choices. (We can accommodate students with special dietary needs with advanced notice.)
Weekend Trips
On the weekend, students will embark on trips throughout New England with their fellow EXPLO English students, as well as students in the EXPLO at St. Mark’s program. Trip options may include indoor rock climbing, baseball games, the Science Museum, canoeing on a river, or seeing a show. Trips are a fantastic opportunity for students to have adventures and to meet new friends outside of their EXPLO English program.
