Is EXPLO English at St. Mark's For Me?
Learning a new language — especially in a new country — is an incredible adventure. At EXPLO English, we make that adventure as fulfilling, educational, and fun as possible. We're looking for bright, curious students who want to learn — and who love to have fun doing it.
Who is an EXPLO English student?
EXPLO English is for early English language learners who have already formally studied English. Students may be at the beginning of their studies, but EXPLO English is not for students who have not studied English at all. Why do students want to improve their English?
Students come to EXPLO English for all sorts of reasons. Some students would like to attend an American, British, or Canadian boarding school in the future and they want to improve their English before they apply. Others intend to apply to English language based international schools. And others still hope some day to attend an American or British University and know that they will need strong English skills to be successful.
Learning from Native English Speakers
While students intend to continue their studies in their native language, they nonetheless want to improve their educational and career opportunities by studying English. Often, at home, students find that their English language teachers are not native English speakers. The result is that students do not become confident English speakers and they have a difficult time making themselves understood with native English speakers.
At EXPLO English, students will spend their days learning from and speaking with native English-speaking teachers, increasing their fluency and language proficiency.
