Where Will Your Exploration Take You?
Our day trips offer you an amazing opportunity to experience the sights and sounds of Boston and the New England area. Each weekend, you will choose from 15-20 different cultural, educational, and recreational opportunities, including sight-seeing, theater trips, outdoor adventures, and on-campus staff-led clinics. You will sign up for these trips at the program.
We also have some weekend long trips that require sign up before the summer begins. This summer we are offering the following pre-summer sign up trips:
Overnight Trip to New York City
+ Yale University

Traveling in the comfort of a chartered coach, you'll leave Wellesley College on Saturday morning and end up in the heart of the Big Apple. There, you'll experience the sights and energy of Times Square on your way to a Broadway matinee. In addition to the show, you and your friends will tour NBC studios, dine at a popular New York restaurant, and enjoy a twilight harbor cruise that will take you past Lady Liberty and around Manhattan Island. After a night in a hotel outside the city, you'll head to Connecticut for a tour of EXPLO at Yale and Yale University’s campus. Lunch will be a picnic with pizza from the famous Pepe's in New Haven, followed by a restful trip back to Wellesley. Trip Cost: $315
Note About the New York City Trip: This trip leaves on Saturday morning and returns on Sunday, taking the place of regular weekend trips. Students must sign up in advance and will be charged an additional $315 to cover the cost of this special overnight. All lodging, transportation, meals, tickets, and organized events, other than spending money, are included in the price of the trip. Please note that space for this trip is limited, and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Overnight Adventure Trip to the Berkshires
Heading out early on Saturday morning (by chartered coach), we'll travel to the heart of the Berkshires for an adventure weekend to remember. First, you'll hit the rapids when they're at the peak of their power. As you twist and turn down the Deerfield River, professional whitewater rafting guides will teach you how to navigate the whitewater swells like a pro. Next, pull on your hiking boots for a magical, professionally-led night hike through the majestic trails and forests of the Berkshires. Before settling into your tree house (cabin tent) for the night, stake out your spot by the fire to make s’mores and play campfire games. Then on Sunday, get ready to feel the wind in your hair — it's time for an aerial trek through the trees! Zip your way through the treetops as you speed down 11 zip lines, two sky bridges, and three rappels. But before heading back to EXPLO, you'll paddle down the river in your own kayak for a relaxing end to this two-day trip with the nationally-recognized Zoar Outdoor adventurers. Beginning and advanced adventurers are welcome!
